I have five cctv direct feeds right to the monitor on my desk at the store. My office is in the back. It is safe room with a heavy steel door that has ballistic protection. One can never be too careful. I can watch what is going on out in the retail area and outside of the store. I do not have to get up and look whenever I hear something odd. I can stay safe in my office and look out at what the cameras see. My employees are behind a customer access proof counter with clear shields that are bullet and breakage resistant. We live in tough times. Not every area is a friendly rural area. I have seen the decline in this area for the last two decades. I am tied to this community and I provide a good retail service. However, I do take steps to protect myself and my employees.
